Franklin County Fire Destroys Shed, Property Saturday

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says charges related to a serious fire on Saturday September 5th.

Fire Destroys Property, Nearly Kills Rabbits

Around 1:47 PM Saturday, Franklin County Deputies and Franklin and Walla Walla County Fire units responded to a location in the county about a fast spreading fire.

The location was not given, but Deputies said the fire destroyed a shed and several vehicles at the scene. The cause of the fire was not given, but since charges are being sent to the Prosecutor for review appears to indicate the fire was illegal.

Complete Burn Ban in WA State TFN

DNR has enacted a complete burn ban for all forms of outdoor fires at least through the end of September. The FCSO says thanks to the fire crews and help from some Good Samaritans, another large shed containing a hutch full of rabbits was saved.

No other injuries reported, the investigation continues.
