Hay Squeeze Operator
• Check oil, water & fuel daily you are responsible for keeping all fluids at required levels.• Wash the unit at a minimum once per week. You are required to keep lights, windows & mirrors clean & legal for operation.• Keep cab as clean as possible.• Grease squeeze daily.• Check hydraulic & transmission fluid daily. Keep fluids at required levels.
Complete a pre-trip inspection report and turn one in daily along with other required documents. Report any equipment defects to supervisor.
Maintain proper lines of communication with all employees. Coordinate with the Dispatcher where trucks will be loading & unloading.
Prepare loads for trucks safely & efficiently, prior to trucks arriving to location.• Remove tarps on covered stacks.• Straighten peaked bales on small bale stacks.• Secure tarps on stacks at completion of loading truck(s).
Keep log of each bale and all loads. Turn your log in on the provided squeeze sheet daily. At the end of the day when you return to the shop, you will have one hour to clean & grease your equipment. Any additional time required should be addressed with your manager.
You are required to wear orange safety vest & safety glasses when outside of the squeeze. These are provided to you by your employer.
