City Politics Keep Popular Pasco Restaurant From Reopening
One of our favorite restaurants won't be reopening anytime soon in downtown Pasco.
The Havana Cafe posted on their Facebook page that they won't reopen their Pasco location.
The Havana Cafe Food Truck in Richland will stay open until the owners find another brick and mortar location in Richland Or Kennewick.
Havana Cafe is known for a wide array of fresh food like ropa vieja, palomillo al grill, cuban sandwich, empanadas, pollo en salsa, carnes con papas, lechon asado and camarones.
According to the posting on the Havana Cafe Facebook page, it looks like an agreement between the City of Pasco and the owners broke down preventing the reopening of the Pasco location.
Here is the posting from the Havana Cafe
Unfortunately, after nearly 2 months of trying to make a deal with the city of Pasco, we will NOT be reopening the restaurant at this location. We are starting the process of looking for something available in Kennewick or Richland.
The good news is that Havana Cafe's Food Truck will stay open at 1415 George Washington Way in Richland until they find a new location in Kennewick and Richland.
