The punishment?

Hard time — and a hard-to-watch Disney film.

The case before him was so egregious that Lawrence County, Missouri Judge Robert George ordered a special addition to the jail time one of the poachers received.

A man who was convicted of illegally killing and beheading hundreds of deer has been ordered to watch the 1942 Disney classic film “Bambi” every month while he’s behind bars.

David Berry Jr., 29, was sentenced to a year in jail earlier this month for killing hundreds of deer over three years with members of his family — taking their heads as trophies and leaving the animals’ bodies behind to rot.

Court records show the defendant, "is to view the Walt Disney movie Bambi, with the first viewing being on or before December 23, 2018, and at least one such viewing each month thereafter, during Defendants incarceration in the Lawrence County Jail."

He was one of three men convicted in the crime.

He was also ordered to pay over $50,000 in fines.

Missouri conservationists say the act was one of the largest deer poaching cases in state history.
