Coroner: Home Invasion Suspects Died “Bloody Deaths”
Information is still being released about the deadly home invasion over the weekend that ended with the two suspects being repeatedly stabbed to death in Yakima.
31-year-old Brian Perez and 24-year-old Chase Rogers forced their way into a home near South 64th Avenue around 4am early Sunday morning. A fight broke out between the victims and the two suspects.
Police have not released the identities of the victims, but three of them sustained stab wounds. They used a knife to defend themselves against Rogers and Perez. Police now say the two suspects were able to flee in their car, but their wounds were so severe they didn't get very far. The Yakima County Coroner says the defensive wounds inflicted by the victims were in key places that would cause a fast bleeding death.
They were found dead in their car in a nearby orchard. Both men sustained fatal wounds that caused them to bleed out. When police arrived the two were dead. Police still don't have a motive for the incident, or at least they are not saying if they do.
