Benton County Deputies and Fire District crews spent several hours Sunday working a serious crash on Meals Road near Finley.

Authorities didn't say what led to the incident, or if multiple vehicles were involved, but two persons were trapped inside a car, and had to be 'cut out' by fire workers.

One person was flown to an area hospital, the other taken by ambulance, but fortunately both ended up being released later in the evening. There were no severe or life threatening injuries.

Officials say despite the very alarming looking wreckage, because both people were wearing seatbelts, it kept them from being seriously hurt or even killed.
