Decomposed Body Found Near Abandoned Home in Pasco
Pasco police are investigating the discovery of a dead body near a previously abandoned home in Pasco. This is the area where the body was found.
Around 12:23am, police say a man who works across the street at a truck yard, and knows the new homeowner, walked onto the property in the 900 block of S. Myrtle Street near East B streets, and discovered the body near a shed.
The home had recently been purchased as a renovation project. Police did not say why the man was on the property, but he promptly called authorities. The body, that of an adult male, had been there at least a month, and was partially decomposed. His age and ethnicity were either not known or not released. An autopsy is planned, no other information was released.
Officers remained at the scene throughout the day Monday gathering evidence and scouring the area for clues. As far as officials know, nobody was living in the house at the time or since the time it was purchased by the new owner.
