A wild afternoon in Grant County Sunday.

Deputies were reportedly fired upon by the suspect

Around 1:15 PM Sunday, Grant County Deputies, and apparently Moses Lake Police officers were attempting to apprehend a person has felony warrants, according to Kyle Foreman of the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

The exact location of the incidents was not yet released, but the GCSO said the shooting involved the Moses Lake area.

Foreman said in a video release there was a possible exchange of gunfire, with the suspect firing first. No Deputies or MLPD officers were hit, nor was the suspect.

It is not known how the male suspect, whose name was not released, got into the red Jeep seen in the video on its side, but apparently, the man was able to flee officers.

Pit maneuver used to disable suspect vehicle

Foreman said the Adams County Sheriff's office will handle the shooting-gunfire investigation to ensure "a transparent and unbiased investigation."
