According to Richland police, the suspect apparently "didn't know" police were looking for the vehicle he was driving.

Officers not only recovered that BMW that was stolen from Inca Auto Sales in Pasco Monday, but also arrested the suspect. Officers on patrol saw the vehicle parked in front of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Jadwin Ave. Wednesday night.

They confirmed it was indeed the stolen 2006 model, and then officers waited to see who, if anyone, would come out to drive away in the car. Police say the suspect apparently was clueless, as when he came out of an apartment and prepared to enter the car, he was pounced upon. He matched the description of the suspect given by Inca salesman, and now he's in jail.

The suspect, whose name was not released, is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance. He didn't do a very good job of keeping it clean either, based upon the photo of car from police.
