Drunk Driver Passes Out Behind Wheel at Intersection

Late Tuesday night, Kennewick police responded to a rather unusual call. Neighbors near the intersection of North Washington and West Kennewick Ave. said a car was 'parked' part way into the intersection, and the alarm was blaring.

Upon arrival police found the driver behind the wheel passed out, unresponsive. She was awakened, and 54-year-old Karen Creel was eventually taken to jail on a DUI charge.

Authorities didn't say how she happened to set off the alarm, but she did. Fortunately, no accidents occurred.
