The 18-year old driver might as well have stapled a sign to her forehead saying "take me to jail."

A Spokane police officer was unhurt late Monday when a young woman slammed into the back of his patrol car.

Police say Savannah Ashby was driving at a high rate of speed when she ran through a stoplight at the busy intersection of North Division and E. Wellesley.   Having lived in Spokane for a number of years, I can tell you that's NOT the place to be playing "beat the stoplight!"

Authorities suspect Ashby was intoxicated, and to make matters worse for HER, police found a bag of meth in her car.  All three vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene. She was due in court today.
