Drunk Home Depot Worker Threatens Co-Workers with “Merchandise”

Walla Walla police continue to investigate why a worker showed up very early Friday morning for his job at the Home Depot, then allegedly threatened co-workers with a variety of tools.

Around 5:20AM police were called to the store in College Place about 25-year-old David A. Woodrow Salazar. He was acting in what authorities said was a confrontational manner, and likely intoxicated.

The store manager asked him to go home for the day, but then he threatened the supervisor and co workers with scissors and a screwdriver. He was escorted out, but then pushed his way back into the building.

Store managers were able to clear all the workers out, then police used the store PA system to finally coax Salazar to leave. He came out pushing a cart, containing the scissors, screwdriver and a box cutter knife within reach. He refused to obey officers commands until he was finally shot at with a 40MM non lethal bean bag round. It just missed him, but he gave up after that.

He was taken to the Walla Walla County jail and charged with felony harassment and criminal trespass. No one was injured in the incident.
