Most of the time, a loss is not good, but Wednesday night the Tri-City Dust Devils could say they had a bit of an excuse?

The Dust Devils are still in first place in the Northwest A League North Division at 11-9 but suffered a 5-1 set back at the hand of the Everett Aquasox Wednesday night at Funko Field. The pitcher who held them to 1 hit over four innings and struck out eight Dust Devils was a fellow by the name of Felix Hernandez, or King Felix of the Mariners.

The Aquasox are the short-season "A" farm team for Seattle, and Hernandez was making what's expected to be his final rehab start. Since May, he's been out of the MLB lineup with shoulder problems.

Hernandez, who also pitched a few innings in Modesto at High A (long season A) for Seattle, could rejoin the major league roster very soon.

In the meantime, the Dust Devils can always have a memory of having faced a future Hall of Fame pitcher, even if they struck out.

His box score below.
