Just after 1 AM Friday morning June 10th, Kennewick Police swarmed a home in the 1000 block of East 7th Ave.

37-year-old suspect assaults a female victim, and holds her against her will.

The assault had just occurred, and during the investigation, police developed the necessary probable cause to find and arrest the male suspect, whose name has not yet been released.

According to Police, shortly before they arrived the man fled the location, but he was soon located not far away at his mother's home. A search warrant was obtained after the house was surrounded, and he was located and arrested without incident.

Now, he's facing Assault 2 Domestic Violence and Unlawful Imprisonment charges. Fortunately, the woman did not sustain any serious injuries during the incident and did not require or request a trip to the hospital.

The investigation continues.
