Thaddeus Ziemlak made quite the trip after escaping the custody of the Psychiatric Security Review Board. He was supposed to go on a planned trip but didn't return when he was scheduled to. He has been incarcerated in the mental treatment facility since 2004, when he fatally shot his mother in the head...twice. In 2006, he'd also walked away but was later found in Wenatchee.

He was found in California nearly a month later. Quite the trip for Thaddeus. He was jailed in California upon being apprehended. Authorities credit the dedication and precision of Community Services Officer Shelly Studebaker for Ziemlak's arrest.

We'll see how many more planned trips Mr. Ziemlak will be able to go on in the near future.
