Richland Police arrested a felon after he fired off multiple rounds into the air from a moving vehicle.

  The vehicle was located and pulled over in the Safeway parking lot

Late Monday night, Police were notifed about a person shooting off a gun near McMurray and Jadwin Ave.

The 911 caller said a man was firing off the weapon while the vehicle was headed west on McMurray.

Police located the vehicle as it was leaving a business, and executed a high-risk traffic stop in the Safeway parking lot. The passenger cooperated and was arrested, but the shooter resisted, before finally giving up.

He was a convicted felon, illegally in possession of a firearm, no reports of any injuries or damage. During the investigation, Officers noticed what appeared to be the gun in question inside the vehicle.
