Franklin County Jail Officer Accused of Having Sex with Inmate For Razor Use
The accused corrections officer has resigned.
Franklin County officials are investigating allegations 41-year old Justin Husom had sexual relations with a female inmate, reportedly over a razor. Reports indicate it was possibly in exchange for "contraband," or a razor. Obviously, such items are severely restricted in jail due to them being easily used as a weapon.
Husom has resigned from his position, he and the woman initially denied having any contact. The case has been referred to the Washington State Attorney General's office for possible charges. Husom was involved in a situation last June when a jail inmate attacked him with a key. After suffering some injuries, he had planned to return to work in a non-contact position for a while. Non-contact meaning he would not have direct interaction with inmates.
