Girl Riding in Car Struck by Bullet, Dies in Seattle Hospital
After fighting for her life for over 12 days, a 15-year-old girl who was shot while riding in a car with her aunt in Yakima has died.
Lillyona Rose Beaty was in a car with her aunt Danielle Rose on March 17th, who was driving on West Pierce Ave. near South 6th Ave. when her car was struck by at least several bullets.
Beaty was struck by gunfire, and their car crashed about two blocks away. The car was shot at in broad daylight. Beaty was rushed to Harborview Medical Center where she was in critical condition for nearly two weeks before dying on Friday.
A 17-year-old teen, Benicio Xavier Lopez has been formally charged in connection with the incident, he is facing multiple charges. To find out more about this story, click on the button below.
