Grandview Investigates Allegations School Aide Duct Taped Students
A parent is making allegations duct tape was used on a special needs student, and a child with Down's Syndrome.
According to reports from our news partner KNDU-TV, this unnamed parent called the school district and the TV station, with a claim duct tape was used to tape a shoe to the autistic child's foot.
The Grandview Police Department says a police report had been filed in the last few days, claiming a teacher's aid also duct taped a child with Down's Syndrome to a chair. This claim was also initially made by the parent reporting the duct taped shoe. KNDU contacted the police department and was told the report has been filed.
The Grandview School District says the aide has been suspended, but no other information was available due to the ongoing investigation. More information is expected to be released soon.
