Grant County Man Busted for Pretending to Be Cosmetic Doctor!
The Washington State Department of Health has slapped down some big fines on a Quincy man for pretending to practice medicine like, well, Quincy!
Although Jack Klugman on the television show Quincy M.E. was a forensic pathologist, he was still a doctor. This guy isn't! Mario Palafox-Valle of Quincy has been fined over $3,000 and given an immediate cease-and-desist order to stop practicing cosmetic medicine without a license.
The man, whose age was not released, is accused of illegally injecting an unknown substance into the buttocks of an area woman three times between June 2011 and July 2012. Complications resulted from the injections, which the woman believed were for cosmetic enhancement.
She ended up needing corrective surgery to fix the resulting complications. When Palafox-Valle did not respond to charges filed against him last November, the most recent actions this week were levied against him by the State Department of Health.
The Washington State Unlicensed Practice Program prevents people from practicing medicine if they have no license, or are not permitted to in the state of Washington. Some medical providers carry credentials from other states, but don't have them here.
Palafox-Valle apparently has no credentials whatsoever.
We're just wondering: why isn't this clown in jail?!
