Green to Go Pot Store, owned by former Kennewick City Councilman Steve Lee and his wife, has announced they are moving their second store across West Pasco into the middle of a busy retail area.

Green to Go Will Be on Road 68 Near Shakey's Pizza

Their second store opened in 2023, after beginning with their Finley operation years ago, which is still iln business.

According to reports, including KEPR-TV, Lee felt the original Pasco store at Road 90 was set back too far from the road, and would not generate the kind of traffic they would like to see.

Comments on Social Media Were Mixed, but some were edgy. While the driving distance from the Lifequest Fitness Center and its kids practice field and indoor facility is .5 miles, straight line is less than a quarter mile, but still meets the 1,000 feet limit for a pot store in proximity to certain entities.  This was one comment on Facebook on the announcement of the move:  (the poster's name and logo have been blacked out for privacy-security reasons).

The new location, set to open at the end of April or early May, will be at 4525 Road 68 Suite J, in the same strip mall housing Shakey's Pizza and Firestone Tires.

The 'Pro Pot' Sentiment NOT Reflected by All Pasco Business Owners

For a number of years, the Latin Business Association of Tri-Cities has strongly opposed pot stores in downtown Pasco, because they said it goes against the family-friendly, neighborhood atmosphere they've been working hard to create.  Some said it took years to 'clean up' the Downtown area, and pot stores would create various issues.

Despite petitions and pushback, Pasco did allow certain downtown zones for pot stores, business owners continue to fight to make sure they're not next to Peanuts Park.

Goosebumps and other bodily reactions, explained
