Rising housing prices and increased traffic has prompted a group of people to start a "Don't Move to Portland, Oregon" movement.

"Portlandia" and popular press has convinced people (particularly Californians) that Portland is a great place to live with a strong economy. It is those things, but the new arrivals are making life difficult for everyone else.

"Don't Move to Portland, Oregon" encourages the spreading of images and messages on social media (#dontmovetoportlandoregon) showing the downsides or Portland. It emphasizes those aspects made unpleasant by the growth in a tongue-in-cheek way.

Mostly it's photos of dog poop at the park, pollution, gray skies and traffic jams.

While property owners and economic development experts roll their eyes, some are flocking to the movement.
