Handford Commuters Will Have One Less Route to Work
Hanford is closing a route to the site and already workers are dreading the commute.
PNNL is closing the north end of George Washington Way on October 1st and Hanford commuters are already dreading the closure. PNNL says the closure will make the site safer for workers but the closure means one less route for site commuters use to get to work.
If you have taken the Bypass Highway southbound on a weekday around 5 PM, you already know the traffic back-ups that happen along that route. GW Way was just another route that helped elevate part of that traffic strain but now it'll be closed starting October 1st.
GW Way has been a preferred route for a lot of Hanford commuters so the closure is making some workers unhappy.
