The coronavirus pandemic has led to the cancellation or postponement of more than 1,800 football games across all three NCAA divisions. More than 1,000 of those are in Division III. Emmett Forde is a star linebacker at Hobart College in Geneva, New York. If the season is not played in the spring, Forde and other seniors in Division III will have to decide if they can afford to return for a fifth season. There are no athletic scholarships in Division III. The full price to attend Hobart is $72,000 a year.

While some games are being cancelled, the Northwest Conference has said it will move football to the spring, along with soccer and volleyball--similar to what the WIAA is doing for HS sports in WA state,

The Northwest Conference represents the 8 D-III schools in WA and OR,  Whitworth University (Spokane), PLU, UPS, Linfield College, Willamette University, Pacific University, George Fox and Lewis and Clark.

Our son Dhylan is a junior to be at Whitworth, returning as the team's Long Snapper for FG, PAT and Punts.  His original report date was August 12, but now he will head up end of August with the rest of the student body, and wait for spring...There are several other Mid Columbia area athletes on the team, including former Kamiakin grads Colton Chelin, Tanner Sullins (incoming freshman) and former Kennewick standout AJ Templeton.
