Authorities are have apprehended a man in connection with a homicide Thursday morning reportedly having found him near Wapato.

56 year old Eugene Veron Elkins is being brought back in connection with the early morning discovery of a dead woman in her home near Monesano WA in Grays Harbor County.   The unidentified woman was found by sherriffs officers, Elkins reportedly left the home just prior to their arrival.  He was suspected of driving a green 1998 Ford Taurus, and the car was alledgedly spotted Thursday between Ellensburg and Yakima.  KIRO TV in Seattle is reporting he is being brought back to Grays Harbor for questioning in the death of  Kornelia Englemann.

    The deceased 58 year old woman was Elkin's girlfriend.  Authorities did not say how sherriffs were led to find her body, or why they came to her house where she was discovered. KIRO says the officials found him in Yakima,  other reports, including a bulletin sent to law enforcement, said he might have been in Wapato.
