Impaired Driver Slams Vehicle All Over Kennewick Neighborhood

Kennewick Police say only the driver's vehicle becoming disabled stopped his video-game-like part of destruction in a neighborhood Friday night. He was worse than Mario Kart.

A 49-year-old man is facing multiple charges including DUI after he allegedly slammed into at least four parked vehicles, and then nearly hit home.

Benjamin Tamil was driving on Hood Ave. say police, when he struck at least four victim's rides. Apparently, he realized what had happened, and then tried to leave the scene by backing up onto a homeowner's lawn so he could reverse direction.

However, his car became disabled, said, officers. Fortunately, it appears a tree helped stop his 'progress,' and the homeowner's vehicles were not parked anywhere where they could be hit.

Police didn't say if he attempted to leave on foot from the 11:15 PM incident, but now he's facing a slew of charges.
