K-9 Ivan Chomps Out Would-Be Kennewick Business Burglary Suspect

Police didn't specify which business, but it was in the 'industrial' part of town.

K-9 Chomps Down on Would-Be Burglary Suspect

Early Saturday morning, just before 6 AM, Kennewick Police now say they responded to a business alarm in the 400 block of East Bruneau, an area occupied largely by some 'industrial', manufacturing, and scrapping businesses.

As Kennewick Officers were on their way, Dispatchers told them surveillance video showed the male suspect inside the fenced compound of the business, rummaging through the property.

 Suspect initially tried to run away, but fled back into the lot when he saw Police

Not only did officers surround the perimeter, but then K-9 Ivan was brought in to help secure the area. Then he sniffed out the suspect and "helped" with the arrest.

Pretty sure Ivan got to wrestle with his new buddy, because the male suspect was medically checked before being taken to the Benton County jail and booked on a variety of charges.
