Kennewick Fire Crews Find Body Inside Burned Home Monday

Not a lot of details have been released yet.

Around 10:36 AM Monday morning, April 25th, Benton County Deputies and Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 1400 block of Elm Street.

The home, about a quarter-mile west and south of Eastgate Elementary school, was billowing smoke when crews arrived.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but Benton County Deputies said once it was safe to enter, they found a deceased person inside.

No information about the person has been released yet, nor have crews said anything about what caused the fire. The investigation continues.
