Kennewick Man Arrested for Multiple Stolen Vehicles, Including 2 from OR

A pair of vehicle thefts from Newberg, OR led to a Kennewick man being arrested for auto theft and more.

    Newberg, OR Police Alerted Kennewick

July 25th, Newberg Officers notified Kennewick that a pair of vehicles taken from a dealership had been traced to a location in Kennewick.

KPD responded to a residence in the 2400 block of South Buntin Street, and located one of the stolen vehicles.  As it was being towed away, Officers noticed a large number of vehicles parked at the home, and parts too.

     Investigation Reveals Other Stolen Vehicles and More

KPD learned many of the vehicles license plates had been switched, and they had what Officers called "suspicious" characteristics.  Another search using warrants revealed multiple stolen vehicles, license plates, and tools commonly used in association with car thefts.

Jeffery A Nieto-Lopez, whose hometown was not listed, was arrested in connection with this incident, and is facing multiple stolen vehicle and trafficking charges.
