Kennewick Police Arrest Man After Violent Attack on Woman

A 21-year old man was arrested after allegedly slamming a woman's leg with a car door, and trying to pull her out of her car by her hair.

Darren Quintas, whose address was not reported, was seen Tuesday afternoon by a Kennewick police officer assaulting a woman on North Olympia St. in Kennewick.

Detective Jason Harrington saw Quintas chasing the victim, 28-year-old Alana Patterson, across the street. He attempted to pull her out of her vehicle by the hair, and repeatedly slammed the door against her leg. She was able to drive away, but Kennewick police detained Quintas.

Quintas was arrested after police learned he was violating a no-contact order, and he is facing felony charges for the violation and the assault.
