I was driving by Desert Lawn Cemetery yesterday and noticed thousands of little American Flags and was curious who took the time to place all the flags. It seemed like hundreds and hundreds of them where in view, standing proudly and waving in the wind.

The Kennewick Boy Scouts spent Saturday morning diligently placing the flags along side the graves of veterans and brave fallen heroes.

The troop had a clipboard of names and canvased the entire cemetery.

Its become a yearly tradition for the troops to place the flags and the troops will then collect the flags after the holiday to be used again next year.

Roughly 6,000 flags where placed across the grave sites honoring the service and brave sacrifice of these heroes.

You can check out more details and the story on the flag placement here
