Some cities in Washington state utilize traffic safety/automated cameras for enforcement purposes, issuing tickets for running red lights etc. Some even utilize school bus surveillance cameras as well. But not all.

But if a Democratic legislator has their way, the use of traffic and school bus cameras for infraction purposes would be statewide policy (where applicable).

In Colfax, you're not likely to get one. But wherever cities have them, this would be the norm, such as Seattle, or even Kennewick.

House Bill (HB) 2735 has been referred to the House Committee on Public Safety, it was first read in the House January 20. The bill also spells out the infraction process; once a motorist is 'captured' violating a traffic law how soon and the method used to notify them etc. etc.
