Citizens Help Save Man from Jumping Off Cable Bridge

*Several citizens helped prevent a man from jumping off the Cable Bridge. When Police arrived at the bridge, the people had already pulled the man back over the railing to safety. Officers stayed with the man while the WSP conducted the investigation.

*A man was arrested for jumping in and out of traffic in the Road 68 business District.  The suspect, Enrique Vasquez, was returned to his residence, but a short time later Police were called to Walmart.  Vasquez had entered Walmart, where he's trespassed from for previous crimes, and stole some merchandise. He had to be placed in a restrictive wrap and a spit shield and taken to jail.

*And finally a man was arrested for a drive-by shooting  following a domestic dispute.  The intoxicated man fired some rounds inside the home, but left before Police arrived. Officers secured the home and the reporting female, at which time the man drove up and fired some rounds near or at the home.

Officers were able to arrest the man, and found his gun in the back seat of his truck.

The firearm pictured here is from the DV incident.  2,430 incidents comes to an average of 162 per day, each 24 hour period.
