The Man Was Enraged Over Dog Accidents in and Out of The Home

Officers learned the 12-week old puppy had defecated on the couch, and when Christopher R. Myers stepped out on the porch with the dog, he stepped in more accidents.

He initially refused to come out and speak with Officers, but when he did, he claimed he "didn't remember" what he did with the pup. However, eyewitness accounts revealed Myers became enraged over the accidents, he abused, hit and threw the dog across the yard, causing it to cry and yelp.

The Noise from the Dog Grabbed Neighbors' Attention

Fortunately, the dog was not hurt, but witnesses aid Myers hit it repeatedly, and when he threw it, it was clear across the yard.

After further investigation, he's now facing multiple counts of 1st. Degree Animal Cruelty.  The SCSO says a woman in the home told them she knew nothing of the assault, she had not been outside at the time.

Animal Cruelty Charges in WA can be elevated to low-level felonies if the acts committed are considered unusually cruel or abusive.
