Man Shoots Self in Head in West Pasco, In Critical Condition
Wednesday around 5:10pm Pasco police received a call about a shooting that had occurred in West Pasco, near the Wrigley-Convention area by the movie theater.
Upon arrival they found a 27-year-old man in a vehicle, who had apparently shot himself in the head. However, he survived and is in the hospital in critical condition. He was a passenger in a vehicle, and police were able to interview the driver. A pistol believed to be the property of the victim was also recovered.
After a preliminary investigation and the interview, police now say it was a suicide attempt, and no one else was threatened. The investigation continues. No word yet as to what transpired inside the vehicle, or what prompted the man to shoot himself.
