Man Threatens to Ram Car Into Wenatchee Social Security Office Over Missed Check
Multiple charges are pending for a Leavenworth man, who's made multiple threats against Social Security Offices and workers.
The 58-year-old man Threatened to Ram Car Into Office
The Chelan County Sheriff's Office was notified July 9th by an SSA Office in CA that Kenneth D. Mayberry had made threats against the Wenatchee location, apparently upset over a missed Social Security check. The CCSO did not say what the connection was between the CA Office and Wenatchee.
Via a threatening phone call, Mayberry vowed to ram his car into the office at 129 S. Chelan Ave. He was also heard on a recording of a phone call, threatening to track down and shoot the workers who were responsible for "witholding" his check.
The Suspect Has a Prior Threat History
The Chelan County Sheriff's Office says a check of his records shows Mayberry had two prior similar accusations that were handled by Wenatchee Police.
He was arrested and is facing multiple felony charges including threats to bomb or injure property. The investigation continues.
