Massive DEA Investigation, Sting Nets Over 48K Illegal Pills
Area law enforcement officers along with DEA agents conducted a series of raids on April 27, resulting in two men being arrested, Daniel James Hernandez and Jesus Mendoza.
The investigation began in February into the two, and five controlled 'buys' were conducted where agents purchased thousands of dollars of drugs from the two. Then the raids were conducted. Homes 2000 block of S. Rainier Pl. in Kennewick and another the 6200 block of Leicester Ln. in Pasco were raided, the second one where the two were believed to be staying.
DEA agents confiscated, between the two locations, 20 pounds of meth, and at least 48,000 total Fentanyl pills, some liquid heroin, plus cash, and various firearms. Another man, Jesus Bartolo Zavala-Alvarez, was arrested April 8 at the Kennewick location.
Drugs were found to have been stored in a wide variety of locations at these two homes and elsewhere. The two are now facing a slew of Federal charges. For more information on this story, click on the button below.
