‘Mysterious’ Fatal Hermiston Crash Continues to be Investigated
Authorities hope toxicology and other test results will help shed some light on a mysterious crash that killed a 47-year-old driver Tuesday morning near Hermiston.
Police were dispatched to the scene of a single truck crash in the 400 block of East Feedville Road, around 9:48am.
Upon arrival they found Michael Patrick Gallegos unresponsive at the scene, suffering from head trauma. He was rushed to Good Shepard Hospital but was pronounced dead.
Police say there was no initial or obvious signs of any impairment or related issues, although speed may have been a factor. It is hoped additional data from tests will shed more light on the exact cause of the crash. As of the end of this week, there are no known witnesses to the accident.
