Mystery Boat Fished Out of Yakima River near Benton City

So far Deputies don't believe anyone was in the boat and fell out, that's based upon a preliminary investigation.

Deputies got calls around 5PM Thursday from people just downstream from Benton City, saying they saw this ten foot fiberglass boat drifting down the Yakima river, then it washed up close to the shoreline.

There were no oars or motor on board, Deputies now are trying to find out who the owner is. They think it might have drifted away from a homeowners dock along the water.  Anyone who's missing such a boat, or has any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333.
