Oregon Bases School Re-Open on Inslee’s Data and Science
It appears that with some new mandates being handed down by Oregon officials concerning school re opening, Gov. Brown is going the same path as Gov. Inslee.
Oregon's new school mandates can be seen by click on the button at the bottom of our story. It makes references to the IDM, or Institutes for Disease Modeling. That's the Bill Gates foundation created group based in Bellevue upon which Inslee has based the bulk of his "science and data."
WA and OR are the only states that actively utilize or consider it's output. According to the new Oregon standards, a district cannot have more than 10 cases per 100,000 of population the week prior and a positive test rate of less than 5% of those who take the COVID test.
To give you an idea of what Oregon is thinking government wise, check out this paragraph from their re open page, namely, the quote from Dr. Fauci:
"The most important factor is the spread of COVID-19 in our local communities. Schools cannot operate on-site until it is safe, and we cannot create an arbitrary timeline. As Dr. Anthony Fauci has said, “the virus will make the timeline.”
Here is where the IDM is referenced:
"...However, a July 13, 2020 study2 by the Institute for Disease Modeling, Bellevue, Washington demonstrated that, unless community spread is reduced, reopening schools to in-person instruction, even with protective measures like physical distancing and face coverings, will cause significant growth of the epidemic."
