According to Associate Press, the two ballot measures that would allow Oregon’s first nontribal casino are being opposed by the current chief executive and three former Oregon governors. John Kitzhaber, current governor, also opposed the measures. Monday afternoon in Portland, Democrats Barbara Roberts and Ted Kulongoski and Republican Vic Atiyeh are holding a press conference with casino opponents. These ballots would allow investors to build a casino east of Portland in Wood Village.
