I'm not sure why we have never tried crockpot potpourri before. We have done the thing where you poke an orange with whole cloves and let that smell good...

But the orange/clove is only good if you do a bunch of them or place it in a small bathroom.

The crockpot potpourri is simple and fills the whole house with the scents of fall. (Plus, you can eat the orange!) We used our smaller crockpot, but any size will do.

You will need:

**The peel of one orange

**3-4 cinnamon sticks

**3-4 TBL spoons whole cloves (ground cloves will work also, reduce to 1 TBL spoon)

Place everything in crockpot and fill with water, turn on High, leave uncovered. Add water every few hours or as needed. I placed a small fan nearby to help disperse the goodness.

There are good deals out there on cinnamon sticks and whole cloves, like Big Lots, Walmart, and Amazon.
