Paranoid Car Thieves Dump Vehicle After Seeing Patrol Car

Sunday a stolen vehicle was recovered after it was found abandoned in the 7000 block of West 1st Ave. in Kennewick.

Police didn't say where or when the car was taken, but are now searching for the suspects. The owner and others who spotted the car called police, and they all searched the surrounding area.

A woman believed to be involved in the theft, 28-year-old Kathryn York, was arrested nearby after she was seen trespassing on private property. From the investigation, police believe the suspects were driving on Clearwater when they thought they saw a police car turn around on them, but this was not so, said officers.

Police are searching for another participant in the theft, 27-year-old Calvin Fox. He's also wanted on an outstanding DOC (Department of Corrections) warrant. Anyone with any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
