Beginning Monday, for a 30-day window,  Pasco businesses can apply for relief grants to help if they've been affected by the COVID pandemic.

"Financial Grants Available to Pasco Businesses and Individuals Affected by Pandemic"

 That's how it was presented by Mike Gonzales, who is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Pasco.

  His release read as follows in part:

"Pasco businesses affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for up to $30,000 in grant assistance through the American Rescue Plan. The Pasco Chamber of Commerce will administer the assistance grants. The application opens on the morning of Monday, August 16. There is a 30-day window to apply for the funds.

Utility assistance grants for individuals and families for past due electric, water, sewer, and garbage bills are available through Franklin PUD, the City of Pasco, and Basin Disposal Inc."

   The primary qualifications are:

  • Business resides within city limits
  • Less than 500 employees
  • 2020 Tax Returns
  • Documents showing revenue impact from pandemic

The process begins Monday, and contact, information and application information is listed below:

The window for applying for this aid will end Sept. 15th.  According to City of Pasco data, some $1.8 million will be available for a variety of support grants.
