Kennewick arson investigators continue to search for the person (or persons) who set fire to a pair of dumpsters at a recycling facility in Kennewick, which in turn set fire to the natural gas line running to the building.

Early Saturday morning, before Sunrise, someone set fire to a pair of large industrial dumpsters at Twin City Metals on East Bruneau in Kennewick.

The fires subsequently spread to the natural gas line supplying the facility, and set the front of the building on fire. However, Kennewick fire units were on the scene quickly and put out the blaze before serious damage resulted, and better yet, prevented any potential explosions which could have been devastating.

Anyone with any information on this arson is asked to call Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS. All information and leads are confidential.
