Police Seeking Suspect Who Robbed Chase Bank on Wednesday
No one was hurt in a bank robbery in Richland on Wednesday
SUSPECT DIDN'T DISPLAY ANY WEAPON
Richland Police responded to the Chase Bank location at 2701 Queensgate Drive Richland on a report of a robbery.
Around 12:50 PM, just prior, Police said a man who had been standing in line with other customers gave a note to a teller indicating it was a robbery.
No word if any specific threat was mentioned in the note. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, and he was wearing a hoodie, baggy clothing and a cloth mask.
He then fled the scene in what was described as a light-colored SUV. No word if the money he was given was "bait" money. Sometimes banks have had what's called bait money, or a stack of bills that can be easily given to a would-be robber. Some of these bait bills have a tracker attached, some have even had a dye pack hidden inside which explodes when the perp tried to undo the package.
