Prosser Police Warn of Counterfeit Bills Being Passed in City
Prosser Police are warning residents and businesses there have been multiple reports of counterfeit bills be passed at area businesses and even yard sales in the past few days. Here's what you need to know
The Prosser Police Department has received numerous reports of counterfeit bills being used at local area businesses within the last few months.
The below $100 bill was turned in yesterday and was used to pay for merchandise at a local yard sale. Unfortunately, the victim is now out both their property and the change they gave to the suspect.
Please be vigilant, use counterfeit detection pens when available and be sure to report any counterfeit money to us as soon as possible so that we may investigate further.
