Prosser Woman Wasn’t Paying Attention, Hits Car on I-82
Drivers need to pay attention to avoid hitting other cars, like what happened on Highway 82 near West Richland on Tuesday morning.
Kayla M. Kiecker, as 29-year-old Prosser woman, was heading east when she struck a gold 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier from behind with her blue 2008 Toyota Highlander, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Kiecker told WSP she was doing 70 mph when her car was struck.
Adriana Covey, a 40-year-old Grandview woman, was driving the Cavalier and was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
The WSP said Kiecker caused the collision because she wasn’t paying attention and was issued a citation for negligent driving in the second degree.
