A group of parents and concerned citizens plan to hold a rally today, Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Pasco School District building at 1215 West Lewis.

The rally will be from 5:30 to 6:30PM.  It's being held by a Facebook group known as the BF Community Coalition for In-person Education.

The private group numbers nearly 1,000 members and has been active not just in Pasco but in Benton and Franklin Counties; pushing educators to consider the data that supports re opening schools--even if safety precautions are felt to be needed.

As for Pasco, their latest public update on their website shows as of September 21, students and parents should be ready for some sort of possible hybrid learning program coming in October, but concrete plans have not been spelled out. According to the PSD School Board Calendar, their next scheduled meeting (likely zoom) will be held Oct. 13.
