From time to time, Law Enforcement agencies re-release information about cold cases, hoping to get new leads, or tips from the public.  And sometimes, these efforts are fruitful.

   Yakima Missing Man Case Put In Front of Public Again

It was about 21 years ago when Jesus “Gustavo” Rodriguez of Union Gap vanished.

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says he left to visit a friend, but vanished and has not been seen since, according to his family and girlfriend.

Adding to the mystery, his burned-out car was later located near an orchard on Summitview Extension Road.

 Did He Return to Mexico?

The then 36-year-old man was said to have friends and family in  Mexico, but they said they have not heard from him either.  In 2022, he was added to a Federal missing persons database website, NAMUS, or National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

The website was created and launched in 2007, Rodriguez was added in 2022, according to the page.
